Racing Beat Alum. Side & Intr Housings?

Is anyone using these? I bet they would take a bunch of weight off the front of the car, but I don't think that they would last very long.
So is anyone have any info on these (other than the stuff on RB's site)?

Last i heard is that they arent going to make them anymore. Each piece supposedly cost over $1500, so you can see why many people didnt get them. I dont know of anyone using them, sorry.

Why do they cost so much????

it is just aluminum for gods sake. I know there has to be some trick to doing it but that much just for a housing.

Hey, even new stock housings from Maz cost a shitload.

Now figure in aluminum, limited production, profit margin etc...

A very intricate casting process followed by a lot of very precise machining. It's not the material that's expensive, they just take a lot of work to make, especially in limited numbers, and time is money.
