race seats, 3rd gen seats, or original?

I have recently acquired an '86 RX. The original owner was a little overweight, 350 lbs or more, and he broke the drivers seat. I have no idea how the fat bastard got in and out, but he did. He must not have had any friends 'cause the pass seat is perfect as is the rest of the interior.
The car had been sitting in my driveway soaking in ATF since the day I got it. The previous owner said it smokes a little..... I'm just hoping it's just the side seals sticking and the ATF will help. Anyway, I've been searching for racing seats and original seats and I want to know what my options are. Should I get a racing seat, will a 3rd gen seat work, or should I just get an original replacement?

Has anyone else changed seats in their FC?

This car will go to the track and I do a lot of spirited driving through the twisties. I don't like feeling of sliding around in my seat while I'm trying to hug a curve at 80. Any info will be appreciated.

3rd Gen seats won't fit without some mods but the 2nd gen seats aren't that bad. ^_^ Here are some seat companies I found to be good over the years (not in any order in particular):

Sparco *duh*
Recaro *double duh*
Momo *super expensive*
OBX
Corbeau

I personally like those 5 the most. Momo's are so expensive it's almost not worth it, sparco's and recaro's are both great great seats, but if price is an issue i wouldn't go with them. OBX has some awesome deals on leather seats but there's just one slight problem. You have to buy them in a pair. *I think* I personally have Corbeau's in my car and they work great. Granted the brackets that came with it took a little.... coaxing to get in there but eventually it came out fine. Good luck with whatever choice you decide!

Peace,
AJ ^_^

Here is my seat in the project 86. They are NOT comfortale on trips over 2 hrs long. They are wonderful on driving on the track and on twisties though =) It is a Sparco Sprint, and they can be bought for around $200-$250 from most race shops.
