are those "affordable" ?
i have the silkroad rm/a8, it was 1600 euros back in 2006
i think thats affordable quality, atleast its 100 times better then megan racing
for example.. as to this day still no rust on the threads

Dude, we are giving you information so YOU can go pick out some coil overs.

You do know we have a drag racing forum right?

lol,
Every setup is going to be different. People gave valid points in the thread.

Asking for a "drag race" coilover is like asking, "I want a stage 3 turbo". No answer can be given to that.

You may need to change out spring rates in the back to find the one that fits your car and style.
This, would eliminate people like Megan's.
I know Ksport can swap out spring rates for you.

I personally drift and I have Ksport Kontrol Pro's with something like 6k front/8k Rear.
It's too soft for me in the rear but it may be good for for drag because of the rear squatting.

If you really want something stiff, why not just weld the axle to the frame? infinite compression rate and you have less weight...

If you have functional parts it's going to be more dependent on the driver than the car anyway...

There's no answers because there aren't any commercially available drag-oriented coilovers for the FC.

Best bet, you need a custom set-up.

For drag racing, you want the weight to transfer to the rear to get as much traction as possible, so this means low spring rate in the rear, high spring rate in the front.

For shocks, you want the front shocks to let the car rise easily, but slow to compress, so fast expansion, hard rebound. For the rear you want it to compress easily, and slow rebound.

If you really want a internet-purchase ready set-up, get a set that lets you specify a lower than average rear spring rate, and get double adjustable shocks (adjustable for both rebound and compression)

Then again, if you're that serious about drag racing, might want to consider ditching the whole stock IRS and going to something like a ford 8.8" with a 4 link suspension, panhard bar, and generic coil-overs.
