Quick turboII brake master cyl question

Did some reading on the features.

Just want to make sure, the turbo II only came with ABS, correct? So, there wasn't a non-abs model?

Reason I am asking, my GTU has no ABS, and I have turbo II suspension all around, with the rearend. I wanted to do turbo II brake booster with master cyl for better feel.

Now if the turbo II model was only ABS, is there a master cyl that has the same stroke that fits on the turbo II brake booster that's non-abs?

Not all T2 had ABS, i dont think the T2 would feel any different from the GTU, as in pedal feel.

I've heard or read that some turbo II's have the same brake booster and master cylinder as the NA's. The same person also told me that you wouldn't need to change these parts when converting your brakes to tII brakes. I got this info from this forum.

The TII's got a slightly bigger MC and stonger booster, so you'll get less pedal travel.

Well, I've got front and rear Tii calipers along with ss brake lines that I'm about ready to swap into my s5 na. Is it necessary to swap my brake booster and Master cylinder for a TII, or would my stockers do the trick?

Get the non-abs stuff with the HD suspension.

All the NA's had the same MC's and boosters, whether they got the good brakes or not, so you don't need it.

The stockers will work fine (although I've been curious what the larger MC and twin booster would feel like...).

Hold the Phone here.I have Out back,THREE different Boosters, and three different Master cylinders!.. Boosters: there is a smaller one,for the Four Lug Brakes, then there is a Bigger one with a Curved up pipe for the Five lug brakes,Then there is another one,Same size as last mentioned,But the Pipe that Extrudes out of it is Striaght(TII Booster)..as for the Master cylinders, all of them have the same reservior,But the placemnet of the lines to the Proportioning valve Vary.,and it all has to do with the Front Brakes..so,all in all,if you are doing a swap out, make sure about the Brake line placement...Oh and CLOKKER,if you Search "929 master cylinder" in the forum, you may like what you read!.It is Very Interesting, and If I had alot of Time on my hands(and Money!),I would do this Swap!..I hope I have Helped out,in one way or another!

Well I'm used to S5's, and I know they're the same for all NA S5's, but it makes sense that it'd be different for the smaller brakes on the 4 lugs.

Would you be willing to sell the turbo II brake booster?

That little bit less of pedal travel would be nice. Either way I am going to call the dealer and mazdatrix to see if they have any non-ABS master cyls in stock.

Thanks for the info.

For the 929 master cylinder, are there any FC's running around with that setup?? I always see the FD crowd having that swap.
