Quick stupid question

i have a 87 Na rx7, i was talking to this guy when i bought some new coilpacks and he mentioned street porting my engine, what all does street porting do and how much hp does it give, also what mods would i need to accompany it and can it be done on a engine with 132k miles without hurting it

TIA
Dan

A street port modifies and enlarges the shape of the intake and exhaust ports to change the intake and exhaust timing. How much power you get from it depends on how you port it and what your current mods are.. With intake and exhaust already done with a mild street port, you can expect around 10-15rwhp if properly tuned. But in order to port an engine you need to pull it, take it apart, port it, put it back together and back in. Essentially a complete rebuild is required.
