quick spark plug question...
quick spark plug question...
Alright..don't flame me for this one guys. I am not a "noob". I am currently working on tearing apart an S5 reman that came out of a 91 w/ "30k+" on it (who knows). Plans are to street port it then go along with a list I've come up with. Ill eventually turbo the N/A(wink wink/thanx to AaronCake) and see where it goes from there.
Anyway...I've searched and read a post that left me confused in terms of spark plugs.
When I had my s4 last year...I lucked out on a motor in ther junkyard which ran great (besides the bad tps). Long story short, I eventually ran into flooding issues and my motor would have problems starting at times. I had brand new NGK plugs and wires on it. I found the plugs in the hatch that I got with the motor from the start which were Denso plugs. I gave them a quick cleaning with a flathead and the handle part of my ratchet, popped them in and BAM!....she's alive. I switched them up again 2 make sure and it wuldnt start with the NGKs on it.
Soo....I would just like to know how come everybody says NGKs are the best. I mean, besides saving like 25+ dollars. I wouldn't have doubted you guys at all. I've been on this forum for over a year doing my homework off the forums.
I'm not some stupid little "noob" ricer who asks a whole bunch of questions on the forums because they don't have enough common sense to troubleshoot on their own and fills up the threads with multiple posts by the same name.
I just really value and respect some of you guys input.
Thanx (P.S..sorry for the story...but I rarely ever post so I had to get a lot out)

Because...
Mazda worked with NGK to design those plugs specifically for the engine.
If you want the nitty gritty details, it's all documented in an SAE paper.
Yes, they are the best for the engine.
