QUICK!! - rear diff mount question
I put in MMR diff mounts this weekend. Do the caps install with the "teeth" up or down. I put them on facing down, but an second guessing if they are on correctly.
the "teeth" are shown here on the left bushing.

Thanks guys.. that is what I thought. I will have to flip them tonight.
The MMR solid diff & subframe mounts are awesome. Took about 2 hours to do the diff and subframe. It was much easier than I was expecting.

I am almost a worst case scenario for sound. I installed a welded front mount, and delrin subframe and diff bushings. Only thing "louder" would be alumnium bushings. I also installed a good used driveshaft, as I suspected mine was dying, and it was. That was causing a lot of vibration and resonance in the cabin.
That said, the extra noise is not as bad as people make it out to be. My car actually makes less noise overall now due to the new driveshaft. There are a couple clunks in lower gears from drivetrain backlash and a little gear whine at highway speeds. If your car was completely stock I could see how it might be bothersome, but if you have an exhaust, the thing is already noisier anyway.
The solid feel more than makes up for any increased noise, and the car runs so much smoother, with less vibration and resonance in the cabin.
For reference, I have a header and Racing Beat catback.
I see you have the diff and sub bushings as well. How do you like the sound?

the sound is ok when you get used to it; i ingore it personaly ,but when i have a person in my car they hate it and in top of that in need a little adjustment on my diff's backlash but overall is the best way to prevent mounts breaking and the headache of droping the diff.,, imo p.s. i have a stock front diff mount with a chain strap over it lol

nice!I ripped the OEM front diff mount in half, so I needed a replacement. No need to pay $100 for the comp one, and another $10 for a snubber that is essentially a solid mount. I bought a good used mount from a member and boxed it in.
As long as you have solid subframe mounts, and solid diff mounts, you can go with a solid front mount and shouldn't break anything.
