quick RB rev exhaust question
Ok, so ive decided the rb exhaust is too quiet for me. I want to swap out the RB mufflers for something a little louder, but it cant be straight piped cause i live on a military base. And yes i have the full system on a 89 turbo ii with a T04e h3 hybrid turbo and large street port.
Basically, i want more noise without compromising the performance of the RB exhaust as is. Any suggestions?

you have two easy choices.
1. buy a pair of flanges, and make a center pipe without the muffler in it. http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1986-1...ges/16185.html
2 or buy a muffler that you like, and have a pipe bent so that it bolts to the RB center muffler.

^that's pretty much dead on.
Though the "performance" of the RB exhaust isn't anything super special. it's a 3" exhaust... the great thing about it is that it's so quiet, but it's also super heavy at the same time.
I swapped mine out (with a very light weight custom 3" exhaust) and shaved about 40 lbs off my car...
the easy way would just be to either straight pipe the middle section, or just replace it with a different exhaust.
