My buddy owns a tow yard, he got what i beleive is a s4 TII with no title no seats and a broken steering shaft. I have a 89 n/a and i want to put the TII in there. I know there is a thread about this and i have read but im not sure if my questions were answered. One can i keep the rear-end from the n/a or do i need the turbo. Two exactaly what wiring harness do i need, just the one that goest to the externals of the engine or every harness that goes to everything. Please help i am going to start the swap tommorrow

 

Yes, you can keep the rear end but you will have to use the T2 d-shaft if you use the T2 tranny.

You need the T2 wiring harness and ECU, not the other harnesses.
