quick question (turbo to n/a)

Im sure that this has been asked many times, but when swapping in an s5 turbo engine and tranny into an 89 gxl, do i have to replace the rear end too?

That would be NA to Turbo... not Turbo to NA.

No, you don't HAVE to.. but if you end up squeezing any more power out of the stock turbo engine, you will eventually have problems with the rear end. You will also need a custom driveshaft if you plan on using turbo engine/tranny with stock NA rear end.. mazdatrix sells it but it aint cheap.

You can use an auto driveshaft, it works but it's alittle shorter than I like. If your on a tight budget it will get you by untill you get an lsd.
