I knew it would work.
There are various reasons as to why the flooding happens.
1- I've heard of the ECU randomly turning on the in middle of the night and opening the injectors (sounds like a ghost story to me though)
2-If an S4 car is started for a few seconds and shut off, it's likeyl to flood, not being able to start up again. This is due (rumours) to a programming glitch in the ECU, dumping too much fuel in on the first few cranks, after being shut off, or to lots of fuel and vapour in the chambers already from the extra-rich startup phase.
3-Leaky fuel injectors, dribbling fuel out when closed/off, and flooding

It's apparent that the gas wipes away the thin layer of injected oil and prevents compression.. but don't ask me why just squirting a bit of 10w40 in there doesn't work. Push starting is the only way. And by push starting, I mean pulilng with a car to a decent clip- there is no way even a few people can get it ging that fast by pushing.
