quick question about TPS

Is there any way to fix a TPS? Mine reads 1k ohm at idle but jumps over 10k ohms at WOT. Sorry im a cheapass and was wondering if anyone here has fixed one.

I was able to milk some life out of one by hosing the area where the plungers go in wit some CRC electrical parts cleaner. I think it's finally dying though because I can't seem to keep it adjusted.
