Quick question about my instrument cluster

the instrument cluster on my S5 GTU is not working. None of the gauges including the odometer are working. I already ordered a replacement off ebay but is it ok to drive the car with it non-functional for the meantime? i am wondering if the ecu or OMP relies on the instrument cluster for engine management or anything like that. thanks for the help guys. right now my 8 is in the shop for a suspension upgrade and this is the only car ive got at my house.

Technically, I would assume it's alright to drive. However, how would you know if something goes wrong?

if none of the gauges are working including the odometer and the speedometer then your cluster is probably unplugged, as the speedo cable is mechanical.
