i have a 1991 rx-7 and i just put my new S5 T2 motor in it but i havnt hooked up my engine harness yet or replaced any hoses or connected my driveshaft, how much do you think it would cost to put my car in a shop to get the rest done in the condition that it is in now? just to get it running. estimate please!

$200? Just take a few hours and do it yourself.

if you have a friend who's a mechanic, get them to work with you on it, that way you learn how to do it, and you'll make sure its done right (and if theyre a really good friend you might not have to pay)

if you know anyone who's a gearhead and has the tools(remember, you can CARRY a 13b with two people), ask, they would probably love to be under the hood of a seven anyways

and of course, make it clear youre willing to pay them for their time if theyre not a really good friend

yeah find some people in your local area, and offer to provide some snacks if they come help or have a little wrenching meet. (a local meet posted on a website like 2 weeks prior wher eveerybody brings there cars, the part they need installed, and as manny tools as the trunk/hatch can hold and everybody pitches in $5 for the pizza or burgers or whaever and everyone get's free labor, the host normally gets alot to all his work done, and advice on how to finish what couldn't be done that day) Just go to your section of the regional forums in this site and you can probably ghet free friendly labor from one Rx-7 owner to the other and maybe a couple car buddies of friends to hangout with sometime.

Get a good manual, some good tools, and tackle it. It's really the best way to learn. I did my first swap last year at 17 un-aided.
