Quick Injector Question
Running a stock s5 turbo, ported wg, 2.5" dp and presilencer, 3" catback. Stock ports. Gonna put some form of an intake on.
Stock turbo gets inefficent after 12 psi... with that, what size injectors should I go with on this motor? Stock primaries, and upgrade only secondaries? If so... Would 720's be sufficient for the 12 psi, or should I bump it up to 1000cc? Or 1600, for that future turbo upgrade...?
Basically... what size injector set up should I use, when a turbo upgrade is definitely looking up as another future project (BNR stage III or IV). Will be able to control duty cycle with Haltech.
Thanks guys,
James

With the stock ECU you need to stay with stock primaries. So either 720CC secondaries or something around 800. Any larger and you start to have issues at the transition point.
But wait, you have a Haltech? Then run bigger primaries like 720CC and larger secondaries such as another set of 720CC or a bit bigger (1000). If you plan on future upgrades, the 1600CC units are cheap from Ford.

Regarding the Ford injectors, a buddy of mine with an FD said something to me about using Cobra injectors for secondaries?
Basically, can the stock TII injectors handle intake and exhaust without blowing up? I only plan to drive it like this for maybe a few trips around the block...
After I find true condition of this motor, I will go for the 720cc primaries and 1600 secondaries and a tune.
Thank you,
James
