So im putting my N/A hood from my donor car on to my other 7.

Now the previous hood had been pinned and the PO took the hood release cable with latch off and now im trying to return in back to the stock look.

Well i cant find any info on taking the hood release cable out of the latch assembly in the fsm or anywhere on the forums.

And im stuck trying to remove the latch and cable from my donor car becasue of where the cable runs.

So im hoping someone has done this and can help me out? I dont want feel like breaking it lol

take the latch out first.
2 bolts on the front rad support and one on the middle of the latch.Undo the cable from the latch.
take that middle piece too.
snake the cable out of the engine bay,until the trailing coils.
You may have to move the trailing coils to see that the cable goes through a big *** rubber grommet in that corner area.
undo the Big nut behind the cable handle,where meets the dash.(17mm,14mm?..)
that will drop the cable from the dash.
If I remember correctly all you have to do now is pull the cable from inside the car and it will come out.
Good luck getting it back into that rubber grommet.(HINT: where the cable pops into the grommet,cut it a touch..the cable will slide in,like butter)
If not Pop the whole grommet out,snake the cable up inside and Out to where you can see it at the firewall and slide it into the grommet and then Put the grommet back in.
continue with the cable run back to the Front of the car..
you know the rest.
