Quick Gauge question

So Im tired of searching lol...

I purchased prosport electronic boost and EGT gauges for my S5 TII (swapped from S5 N/A with all N370 electronics and Jspec engine)

Where is the best place to put the sensors? I just want to make sure because rotaries have quirks to them that piston engines dont...

if your EGT gauge doesn't read up to at least 1800 degrees, sell it. it will quickly become useless. otherwise you would want to install the sender into the downpipe most likely, which usually reads 250-300 F less than before the turbo according to what I've read. I used to have an autometer gauge in the downpipe that went up to 1600 F and it would max out from really hard driving like at Virginia International Raceway. When you need it the most it won't be able to tell you much.

It should either come with a 1/8 NPT weld bung or a clamp that you would install it with after drilling a hole.

The boost gauge is often hooked to the bottom nipple on the rear of the UIM. This nipple is normally used to supply vacuum (with an in-line check valve) to the double throttle system on the TB. The double throttle system closes an additional set of secondary throttle plates (in the TB bores after the No. 1 secondary butterflys) when the engine is cold. That system is not really needed and can be capped off on the TB or even completely removed.
