reply to pace-setter RB silencer question
I recently did some research on the racing beat header, since i just bought a pace setter header that doesn't fit my convertable 1988.
The racing beat headers have their own flange, according to racing beat. The silencer is made to bolt to their header. I know the pace setter header is made to bolt to the factory cat.
Therefore the silencer will not bolt directly to a pace setter header without modification to one of the flanges.
I would contact racing beat and find out exactly what flange is on the silencer. The other end of the silencer is suppose to bolt directly to the factory y-pipe that runs to the mufflers.

trying to mix pace setter headers with a RacingBeat presilencer is out of the question. you will have to cut and weld like a mad man!! Just pick one or the other. I have a racing beat set up and its way better!! (yes, I had pacesetter). If you do cut one of the bolts, just weld it back on. I didn't cut mine off but while i was removing the setup, one of the bolts froze on and broke the bitch right off. Just make sure you grind off any slag and that the gasket sits in place.
