Question Quick drift question

I was just wondering what the best suspension setup would be for drifting. ive been doing a little when it has been wet out, but ive been breakin some stuff so i want to do it right.

And if there are any other tips you could give, they would be greatly apreciated. Thanks!

dirfting is very hard in an n/a if you have still have the rear steer, you might try leting some air out of you front tires........

Maybe it is your technique?

As far as suspension setup, try out KYB AGX adjustables. Set the rear to 7 or 8 of 8 and the front to 2 or 3 of 4. Get the Racing beat rear anti-roll bar with endlinks. Front stock anti-roll bar is good already, so leave it, but get the endlinks for it too. Get a strut tower bar for the front and the back too if you can afford it. Remember, a stiffer front end will help in pitching your car sideways, but a stiffer rear end will help you keep it out easier.

It doesn't really matter with the DTSS still on, because in a drift, you have already broken the limits of adhesion. It doesn't function as it should, so therefore, it also does not have the same effects as it used to.

As for you breaking stuff. Take it easy on your tranny. Learn to use the steering more instead of popping the clutch.

yes but when you sliding sideways, isn't the inside rear wheel "folding under a bit?"

When starting out softer is better for suspension. Don't go buy some super spring rate.

Body Roll is not always a bad thing, softer suspension will react slower and let you feel the car more so you can learn. I reccomend coilovers for everyone, they are much better than normal shocks and springs and you can change ride hieght at all four corners for perfect balance.

What stuff are you breaking? Changing suspension will not keep you from breaking stuff. If I had an idea what problems you are having I could help more.

lower the pressure in the rear tires(i know it seems backwards, but it works), and it helps if they are the crappiest tires you could get ahold of. if you still have stock suspension then youll have to work on your technique a lil bit. if you want to upgrade, get some aftermarket springs and adjustable shocks. the spring should be non-progressive(linear), the rear spring needs to be pretty stiff, set the rear shocks to be pretty stiff too. that should help out a bit, but your technique is more imprtant. all the mods in the world wont help if you cant drive to begin with.

Why exactly would you lower the pressure in your rear tires to get the rear end to slide?
