Quick door questions....

Alright, so some jerk backed into my driver side door and took off without leaving a note etc. Now I'm left to replace the door on my own.

What I am wondering is can I use any old S4 door to replace my GXL door? I'm sure a vert door will not work for obvious reasons, but would a door with wind-up windows from a sport work? Are the holes for the power window motor present in non power window cars?

I don't want to pull a door from the junkyard and get it home only to find out that none of the power window stuff will fit inside.

Should I just hold out for a GXL door?

Car is an 86 GXL.

Thanks

Based on this thread (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...er+window+swap) I would say yes, after you swap over the guts/wiring from your old door.

What color door are you looking for?

I think he switched the whole door. As in, took off the crank handle doors and put on power window doors, but could not find a power source for them. At least, that's what I think was in there?

My question is, if I took a S4 base door with crank windows and took all the stuff out, would my power window stuff fit inside? And vice versa? Would the holes be there to mount everything?

The color doesn't matter since i'll probably end up painting it.

Sorry if it takes a long time to respond. I'm on the road a lot.

So, I'm guessing my best bet is to get another GXL or TII door?
