Question quick air pump question

My air pump kicked the bucket a while back and its just sitting there without a belt. Can I take the pump out without taking the avc (is that what its called?) off? I dont have a block off plate for it yet, thats why I have to lave it in there. Would this affect anything?

Yeah, I did it before I took off the acv. A long tme ago, I think you're left with two hoses that you connect, but like I said, it was a long time ago. Why not just leave the belt off untill you get an acv block off plate, then take all of it off at once? It really cleans up the motor, and I didn't notice any adverse affects.
I also added a dual alternator pulley to reduce the belt slipage that can occur when the air pump is gone.

Good luck, Gregg
