Questions on PS and heater hoses

Questions on PS and heater hoses
I have a few questions..
1) I removed the heater core, and I am wondering what to do with the coolant nipple on the block that went to the heater core. Can I JB weld this shut, or should I run a hose to the radiator where the other heater hose was?
2) The power steering rack.. I removed PS, and I cannot find the thread with the size of bolts I will need. Does anyone have the size one them?
