Questions on my S4 short block into FB

Hey whats going on. Well I just swap the S4 block into my GSL-SE. I use stock S3 manifolds, ecu, ect. One thing I didnt do yet, because I just defaulted my wallet really bad is get a EGR block off plate. So for a little while, I need to drive it with it on there. Is it going to be ok to leave the vacume port not hooked up, or should I give it a port? I know already it makes the engine act up pretty weird, as I can hear it making noise and make my idle go nuts.

Also I would like to know if theres much of a difference in my redline, or what do you guys suggest for auto-x? I dont run ports, so its just open 6 port .

Thanks,
Jamy

well
#1 a EGR block off plate is prett cheap (like usually less than $25) but if you want to go even cheaper, just get some sheet alum and cut it, using it (with two EGR gaskets- top and bottom) as a gasket between your existing EGR and the block.

#2 running with non functioning aux ports, will result in lower 0-60 times compromising your auto-X runs. Heck- you might have well left the old SE 13B in if you are using the S3 manifolds and no aux ports as you are not really gaining any HP (infact you probably have lost some).

Well the problem was, Is I cant rebuild the SE, which it needs. I have a buddy that could help me out, and I did the swap. What redline should I stick to, 6k 7k?

Depends on the flywheel... if it is the S4 flywheel, then 7k redline... if it is the S3 flywheel, then 6K
