If you look in the FAQ, there are several links on doing this.
Basically, you are looking at a spending minimum of 5,000-6,000 to do it right, and it can easily get over 10k once its all finished.
I suggest you get the engine ported and get new rotor housings for your current motor. That or just do a simple turbo swap.

how much HP can i get with a T2? plus i was kind of going for original. There are not many RX7 in Idaho and i wanted mine to really stand out. Plus i want to race with cars like the Evo and STI cause there are just way too many of those running around.

If there aren't many rx7's then you should stand out just by driving one. Even a moderatly modified(2,000-4,000 you do the work) T2 can spank a stock evo/sti. Go buy an FD, Unless you have deep pockets, good with a wrench, and lots of time you could be in over your head. At least go buy a T2 shell and go from there. I can't even fathom how many NA's have sat there and finally gone to pasture waiting for a swap. Not to be too cynical, just my $.02.

Turbo ANYTHING with your original non-turbo drivetrain will mean a lot of broken parts.

i know that either way it will be a lot of money regardless of what motor i go with. i had a club meeting today and there are many t2s. they have some work dont to them and they are pretty sweet. either way i think that really all i want is a turbo!!

I can vouch for that. A shattered transmission later.

Don't expect Jspecs to be good to go engines. In my experience most are crap, including the RE I took down last week..
