Questions about two fc really need some advice!!!

Ive been looking for a fc for some time now and had some questions that hope can be solved. Yesturday I look at a 87 gxl with 98000 miles on the body and motor. If the car hasnt been driven for 6 months and needs to be broken in, is that normal? does all fc engine shake alot when started and ideling for short time? What would cause if i was give it gas while driving would not accalerate? One more about a tt2 it burns oil faster than normal. its a 20k rebuild and burns 1 quart 600-800 miles besides 1000? or how hard would that be the fix?

I'd say do a compression test on the GXL and go from there.

Oil consumption per mile mainly has to do with how its driven. Harder driving means more oil consumption. Does the Turbo II smoke at all in higher rpms?

No, you can use a regular compression tester that you can buy at any auto parts store for $15-$20ish. Pull the EGI Comp fuse from the fuse block on the drivers side fenderwell. Take out both trailing (top) spark plugs. The compression tester should come with a few different attachments for the end of the hose to screw into the holes. Find the attachment that has about the same amount of threads, (same length), as the spark plugs. Then screw the hose into the front rotor trailing spark plug hole, have a friend crank the car over, (it won't start because you diabled the fuel pump by pulling the fuse), while you hold down the relief valve on the compression tester. Make sure all the bounces on the gague are even and are making about 90-95ish or better PSI. Repeat for the rear rotor. Remember the numbers each rotor makes and post 'em up.

Oh, and welcome to the rx7club.
