questions about N/A streetported motor

questions about N/A streetported motor

so i want to have my s4 na rebuilt. i wanted a large street port. s5 intake manifolds and rotors. i want to get as much out of this little na as i can. does anyone have a streetported na with any information such as "does it pull alot harder with the porting?" any information will be helpful, thanks

Streetport in general means more hp. So yes... it pulls harder.

Yeah, it is a very noticable difference. With mine the power band went close to 1000 RPM higher as well. It is well worth the money to get done. I would recommend getting it profesionally done, though. It usually costs around 300 bucks. You will generally get better results and you don't have to worry about going to far and trashing the housings.

I guess I'm really dumb, but WHY does adding that hole there make the engine pull harder? Is it because it has the ability to take in more air?

Its nto adding a hole, its making the hole larger. And yes, without gettnig into details, it is because it allows it to get more air.

How much do you mean by a ''very noticeable'' difference?
