questions about idle

hey my cars idels weard sometimes it sounds like its miss firing or something does anyone know what is causing this. the engine does this kinda thing
mmmmmmmmm mmmmmm m m mmmmm m mmmm instead of a of a smooth hum

Try using a volt meter. I thought the light was just to check to see if it was still functional(not sure). Try getting a volt meter and setting the TPS so that it reads like 1. on it or something(might want to search or find someone else that can better expalin it). Just search "how to set the TPS" or something like that.

Or you can just tune it by ear. Just hold the throttle at about 3 grand(or right before the last point it stops(idle still jumps) and turn the screw till the idle evens out.

i already looked up how to do it you do it with a home made engine diagnoser i forgot all how it worked but its good if the 1st lights on bad if the 2 are on and bad if the 2nd is on or something

well i think i figued it out i was 3and a quarter quarts low on oil thats not good!!! anyone know why its burning so much oil it smokes sometimes at start up but there is very little smoke not enughp to burn that much oil also i use pensoil 20/50 caould that be it

no there are like spaces between hims with swift jolts you can feel and hear clearly
