This sounds stupid, but for the windows and the sticky sunroof, could be the battery/alternator. It sounds stupid but sometimes those cars (and I know about 88 GXL's - look at my sn) need like a super battery charge (I run mine at about 14V usually).
It seems stupid, and I'm not trying to talk down to you, but this really can be the problem. Hook it up to a charger runnin 50A into it and try it then. It just might work (don't overcharge tho )

Do you hear the motor on the window switch working? The window switch may be broken or just need cleaning. The soldering may have broken or the contacts are not clean. My sunroof sometimes needs the love tap but after that it opens on its on. Clean the tracks for the sunroof and also check to make sure nothing is blocking the tracks of the passenger window.

The flooding could be due to many things (dying motor, burnt out spark plugs, leaky injectors). Do the simple stuff first: TUNE UP (change oil/oil filter/air filter/spark plugs and wires). At least you will be able to cut down the possibilities of things that could be wrong.

EDIT: Do not get a t2 fuel pump. There is no reason to get one on a stock or slightly modded NA. Check the fuel filter (intake and in the engine bay also).
