question on tie rod and lower ball joint boots

while doing my 5 lug swap i noticed that the boots to both my tie rods and lower ball joints are shredded to hell. they do feel rather tight though.

i was wondering if it was ok and safe to put these back in and drive on them until i have money to replace them? will they cause any other problems?
