Question for T2 Vert owners regarding stance and suspension

Is it just me or are our cars EXTREMELY low to the ground?
I was deciding wether or not to go with tein ss and edfc, until I looked under the car and saw that my Racing beat turbo back, where the test pipe meets the y pipe, was literally 2" off the ground .... at stock height ! I am running 17" wheels with 205/45/17 so I may be about .25-.5" lower then stock at most.

Am I missing something!!?
I really don't see how anyone can drop there FC at all ... is it just that its because its a convertible, or because I have the T2 swap, or is it because of the exhaust I'm running (which shouldnt matter because I know and have seen tons of other people running the exhaust) ... whats goin on here ?

btw this is where my car sits at stock height right now:

Those are not even close to being the same diameter / circumference as stock wheels.

Pic was taken from your other thread. Your exhaust seems to hang a bit low, I'd get some new exhaust hangars. My mufflers don't hang down that low, I got maybe .5 inch or less of distance between the muffler tips and the bumper. I have the RB REV TII exhaust.

Listen to Ted too.

well, since the verts are heavier than coupes, and TII verts heavier still, wouldnt that mean that the springs would sag sooner/more than coupes? Right now my TII vert's nose is really high, but thats cause theres no engine in her

The front end doesn't look *that* low to me...

you should get tires with proper aspect ratios though.

And those mufflers are more the issue than the suspension, imo...

I actually had the same setup as you , well a TII swapped vert with an RB turboback. But I was rolling on stock 15s on KYB AGX's and Tanabe GF210's. The car was basically tucking , and speed bumps hurt a lot so did anything with a weird angle. The biggest issue is the damn exhaust, I actually messed around with my hangers a bit and raised the exhaust as much as I can and it made a bit better so that might be something you can look into.

As far as the Tein SS's and the EDFC box goes, shoot me a pm if you get them, I'd like to get some feedback. At the current moment I'm planning to go with the Tein Flex's and the EDFC but that wont happen for a month or two.

How is that? 17'' wheel with 45 sidewall tire, vs stock 16'' wheel with what, 55 sidewall. i dont see any huge change there other than manufacture differences in measurement

Do that math.
It's like 1/2" in terms of tire / wheel height?
You're rolling circumference difference versus stock wheel size is over 5%?

I did the math, and like I said, I dont see that being a huge difference in sixe.

I would think that you have really saggy springs, but you could run coilovers, because you don't have to slam your car. By the way i have never seen a vert on stock suspension sit that low.

my s4 vert n/a with tein coil overs sits a little lower than that and i dont have a problem, but i think your springs are shot, also im running the stock 15" rms with 205/60/15 i belive. i also have some 17" with 205/40/17 and i know the tire size is completely too small for my car but they came with the rims so ohh well.
i belive with 17" your suppose to run 215/45/17 size tires or a little bigger.

I have 17's with 45 series tires and 1" drop RB springs all around. Zero gap between fender and the top of tire. I have little to no issues with scraping even the largest speed bumps around here. My exhaust hangs high and tight however. I also agree that you should adjust your exhaust brackets and get some new hanger donuts.
