Question on seats and seatbelts
Can the driver side seat be removed and replaced by the passanger side seat (and vice versa)?
Also, The driver side seatbelt is twisted but I don't think I can simply un-twist it because then it is just twisted someplace else. Can I un-bolt the seatbelt and un-twist it that way?
Thanks
Max

I took my seats out the other weekend to take the old smelly carpet out and I was going to switch my passenger seat with the drivers side seat b/c it is in better condition. But to do that I believe you will have to switch the brackets underneath the seats which should not be all that hard. And If Im thinking what ur thinking about the seat belt just unscrew the seatbelt where it bolts to the frame or the inside of the car and untangle it. But dont take my word for it all . Good luck

No, the seats are not interchangable.
However in some models the foam under the seat cover is interchangable, so if you disassemble the seat, remove the foam, and swap it, then put the clothc back on... well that is about a close as you are going to get with swaping the seats.

Yes, the seatbelts are simply bolted into the car at 3 locations, so you can unbolt them, and bolt them back in.
But the seatbelt should have come straight (not twisted) out of the factory, and there's no way to twist it without bolting it. Are you sure you can't flip it around (the part by your shoulder) to untwist it? In order to truly twist it up, someone would have had to have unbolted it, twisted it up and then bolted it up again.

I honestly don't know what had been done with the car before I got it. It seemed very weird to me too. But the mechanism that retracts the seatbelt seems to do it straight and does not appear to be twisted in the mechanism. When I try to un-twist it it just lease the twist above the retracting mechanism and the seatbelt does not pull easily. When I change it back I just have an uncomfortable twisted belt on my chest. I'm thinking I should just unbolt it at the bottom and untwist. Do you think that it could be twisted in the mechanism where I can not see it?
Thanks

Take the panel off (the panel that the retracting seatbelt goes into. You'll see the mechanism behind it.
Don't unbolt the mechanism, because as soon as you tilt it, it locks solid.
Without unbolting the mechanism, pull the seatbelt out as far as it will go, and you'll see if it's twisted in there.
Unbolt the bottom bolt (near the floor), then straighten out the belt from the mechanism, through the shoulder piece, the buckle, and down to the free end. Then bolt the free end back up.

I finally got to take that panel off and it wasn't twisted anywhere. I compared it to anothe drivers side seatbelt but it looks the same. So i just rotated the seatbelt buckle and Yah!...I feel like such a NOOB
