Question for premixers: Smoking?

Well my car smokes a bit. It usually happens when im off the gas for a little while and the engine is on full decel and then I give it any kind of gas, smoke comes out. The smoke is gray. Does premix burn a different color? It also seems to happen on most shifts, im just wondering if its premix burning from a rich mixture (apprx. 16.5oz:14.6gallons), a rich fuel mixture or .......bad coolant orings

I think its your seals.

I pump with 16 OZ and 14.9 gal of fuel normally. I never see smoke ever unless I just flooded my baby.

wait your running only pre-mix right? if you are doing it in conjunction with the MOP system then your running way to much oil in there.

Thats odd. Im not really losing any coolant and it doesnt smell sweet at all. I dont flood with coolant when the car is off either.....

Yea, premix is the only thing lubricating it.

Also, im turbo with not a single piece of emissions equipment remaining on the engine.

If your temp is normal, your coolant ring is fine.
It could be your turbo oil seal is going if it smokes on decel. If your oil seal or seals are bad, it'll smoke when you have some load on the engine. Try holding the rev at about 5000 for about 30 seconds. If it smokes, it probably is the oil seals. For premix, I use about 1/2 oz per gallon. If you use too much, of course it will smoke.

Im using Castrol TC3W type. It had always done this under decel (lack of injector firing hence no premix) and then as soon as I would get on the gas again, it'd give off a bit of smoke.

If my orings beginning to fail, wouldnt it flood if the car sat for awhile? Would there traces of coolant on the plugs after sitting?

Well I don't know if this would happen on a TII but I have decellerated from 7k to 2k at high speed and I get NO smoke. It has to be something else.
