ok..here is my new problem...my signal lights dont work...they come on inside but nothing outside... the same thing happens with the emergency lights....so what could be my problem?

 

The connectors going to the signals must have become disconnected. What were you doing before they stopped working?

 

actually they have never worked

 

Have you checked the bulbs? Checked the light connections or harness?

 

well the funny thing is that for like 5 minutes they worked..you see i got my car like 4 months ago..it didnt run..i've been working on it since and maybe a month ago i got it to run...they lights never worked until maybe like 3 weeks ago i took it for a spin and they worked! the next day i tried it again and nothing.

 

any ideas?

 

I agree, check the bulbs.

If it was the CPU or dash harness you wouldn't get the indicators on the cluster.

That suggestes that the problem must be at the lights themselves or at the harness going to the lights.

Now if you didn't get the indicators at the cluster then I would be saying the CPU right there.

Do the turn signals displayed in the cluster flash fast???
