Question on grounding mod..

Hey you guys I am doing the ground kit mod tomorrow and was wanting to know if i grounded the fuel pump would it fix my fuel gauge from not working to working.?

No. The fuel pump, gauge sender and low-level warning sender all share the same ground wire, so if the pump works then the ground is okay.

See the FSM for testing the gauge and sender.

my fuel gauge only works when it is full then after that at about 50 miles it starts to go down and then it just shows that i have no fuel at all what would fix that.



edit: also would a new fuel level sender fix it? thanks

It probably is the fuel level sender unit in the tank.

so could i just buy a new one or could i just pull that one out and maybe clean it and then hope that it starts to work
