Question about Vert Subframe
Hey guys,
Quick question about subframes... specifically the differences between vert and coupe front subframes. I'm looking to do a motor, tranny, and complete 5-Lug swap from a vert to a base model coupe... both s4's. At this point, I'm figuring the quickest way to get it all done would be to swap the vert subframes to the coupe.
However, the only thing i'm not so sure about is the differences in the front subframe. I know that the vert has extra bracing and that crossmember behind the engine. My question is, will that whole subframe bolt up to a coupe, or am I better off just putting in the wrench time doing it piece by piece? I searched, but there's little info aside from statements that the subframes differ... no outright statement about swap-ability.
