Question about Trailing Coil Ignitor
My T-1 Trail. Coil Ignitor isn't getting any spark in it, so I was wondering since its not working would that cause the car not to start, and also, Is there any thing that could cause it not to work besides it being bad?
thanks,
thanks,

It will start without the trailing coil operating. Trailing is mostly for emissions. I assume that your using a timing light to determine that its not working, if so you could have:
1. Fouled plug - pull and inspect
2. Broken ignition cable - swap the T1 wire with the T2 wire (both ends!) and see if problem follows.
3. Bad coil - pop the little plastic cover off and measure the resistance at the two terminals - you should see something in the range of 0.2 to 1.0 ohms.
4. Wiring problem further back - ?
