question about timing (already searched)

Just wondering what kind of timing is considered safe to run on a stock s5 tII motor at 10psi?

Stock. Until you've got more fuel, and a bit more efficient setup (turbo/intercooler) it's best to leave timing alone for now.

the question is for a friend of mine, and I believe he has upgraded his fuel system. He's got a haltech and I am pretty sure he's got larger injectors than stock... I'll just have to check on that!

Oh, in that case, it's simply a basis of what his tuner is comfortable with. I'd suggest checking out the EMS section for that, since most of the answers you'll get here are just simply 'turning' the CAS ahead rather than with an aftermarket ECU.
