question about the stock water pump...

my friend has always told me the stock water pump on a FC cavitates at 7000 rpm... is this true? if so, what would be recommended? maybe a electric motor to turn the pump?

underdrive pulleys. If you race the car on the track and are concerned about cavitation, these pulleys are bigger in diameter so they turn slower. At 7K rpm the pump won't be spinning quite as fast so it won't cavitate.
