Question about running autometer wideband

I recently installed new engine done by Atkins rotary. I also installed autometer wideband. I am running between 12.3 and 12.9 at idle. I was wondering is it normal to see 16 pegged lean at closed throttle coasting. Vehicle seems to run great but I just notice that when coasting down long hills with throttle closed that the gausge pegs 16 until throttle is opened. Is this normal

yeah im pretty sure you would see numbers like that when coasting cause there is no load on the engine and hardly any fuel going in as well, does it go down imediately when you get back on the gas?

If 16:1 is the leanest the gauge reads, then that's normal. Most gauges read up to 20:1, which is what my LC-1 shows when I'm in decel w/out throttle.

I wonder..............when I drive along at a steady speed, and jussssst let of the pedal a bit (front rotor fuel cut only), the afr goes a bit richer. Then I let off all the way on the pedal and the afr goes to full lean (both rotors fuel cut).

I've always wondered about the richer when I just barely let off the pedal. Anybody see the same results if the pedal is barely let off? then full lean when the pedal is fully released.

I've noticed it a couple times. But I don't mind it, also when your on the gas pedal very lightly, it will show more rich, than stoich.
