i just bought a new pioneer cd player and a new set of speakers, subwoofer and a nice amp but i'm having problems with the cd player i bought the plastic adapter for the dash and the wiring kit but there wasn't very good directions. i spliced the yellow power to the yellow power and the red to the red that was the only wires to install be sides the amp wire wich was simple ? have i done anything wrong because i'm not getting the cd player to turn on but i am getting power through the wires i checked , if anyone has install a cd player with success plz let me know how .

 

you need to wire in the remote too and the antenna power allong with a few others... I don't have my spec sheet in front of me but Email Crutchfield. even if you didn't buy your gear from them they will help you. they are good like that.

it wont turn on unless its grounded ... and for the amp u will need an ignition source as well as a 12 v constant ... and a ground ... as for the power antenna not totaly nessary but it is a plus and all that other who ha ... but yeah .. ground the bitch it should work if u have the connections correct

 

sorry i didn't mention but i put in the antena into the cd player and connected the amp blue wire but i didn't hook up the amp itself would this have somthing to do with it ?everything at the dash is hooked up including the ground but not at the amp . sorry guys i'm new at radios never done this before , the rx7 isn't on the road yet but normaly i would be paying someone to hook it up
