i was going to take my front bumper off today...and i took off the mud guard the passenger side and i saw this thing that kinda looked like a pump with a hose on both ends...and one of the hoses was pointing done not connected to anything else...does anyone know what it is???

 

Rubber hoses, plastic cylinder down kind of in front of the front passenger wheel? I believe that's the fresh air feed for the air pump. If it's what I'm thinking of there's a half pop can sized canister farther up that line that's empty inside (it's probably either a catch can, resonator, or both) and the large cylinder is just a filter.
