Question about the nose of my rex

I've noticed on alot of S5's that the grille is very open, like they took out the little plastic pieces that run across/up it. I think it looks alot better without them. My question is, can you cut those out without hurting the structural rigidity of the front end?

now correct me if im wrong....id have to NO its not going to hurt tell you to get a dremmel or sumthing to that effect a airdriven grinder/cutter and cut them off..it should be fine i mean its really there for 80's style...err...90's style...lol but yea u got that 5mph brace behind ur bumper ur ridgid enough...its not going to falloff..and if u hit sumthing those little brace thingys arent going to save u not in the slightest....lol

Ok thankx for the info! Definitely have to give it a try after school. Currently i have them painted black and it looks ok, but rocks and grit from the road chip away at it and i end up having to paint it like every 3 weeks or so .
