question about my 90gxl, and going to 9k rpm's..
I have a 1990 gxl, and I have a 8k red line and a 9k rev limit, I almost never take it to 9k, but it see's 8k quite often. I was reading that not all n/a rx7's had this high of a red limit, since mine does, Is the car tuned different. like are some of the specs different on the motor to allow it to go to 8-9k? I am just curious.

If that's your car in your sig that is not a '90 GXL.
Only 89-91 N/a's had an 8k redline. All other FC's had a 7k redline. Its not that your particular car is special it just the type that has the lightest rotors and highest compression. Mazda did the legwork to allow it to go up that high, that's all.
Going to 9k is pointless, your engine isn't making good power there so its just putting unneeded dammage on the internals and wasting your gas.
