Question about leak in Interior

Hello guys i was hoping you could help me with a question. I am currently talking to a seller about buying his 10th AE. It looks like it is in pretty good condition but he told me that one of the problems with the car is that there is water leaking on the inside when he last started the car. He told me that the water was leaking from around the area behind the center console or somewhere near there because he said the water leaked in and got his right foot wet. I have never heard of such a problem before and i have no idea what it could be that would cause this. He tells me he thinks it has something to do with the heater or heater core but he doesnt' know cause he didn't get it looked at after it happened. He just stopped driving it and is now selling it. I was wondering if anyone would know what would cause this water leak and how much would it cost me to fix it. Thanks

Might be from the sunroof, but don't quote on that.

I just talked to the guy again and he said that the water started leaking out from around the back of the center of dash or like near the gas pedal because it got his right foot wet. Is there anything with the heater that would cause a water leak around this area or is something completely different. Any help would be greatly appreciated

heater core or one of the rubber gromets that hold the lines that come into the car has gone bad.
