Question about interior lighting:
My dash lights recently went out (including heater controls and cigarette lighter) so I was reading the FSM on how to fix it. I changed fuses and everything and nothing worked.
The other day I decided to swap in my GTU's gauge cluster cover (with all the switches for the whipers and stuff) onto my turbo. I was sad to see that my GTU has no rear whiper switch, which isn't all that bad since my whiper doesn't work anyways.
So I'm going out that night, flip on my lights and VOILA! My gauges all light up! My cigarette lighter and my heater control switches!
Is there a completion of a circuit somewhere in the switches on the gauge cover that completes light getting to the gauges? I want to know if I should buy a known good Turbo cover so my gauges will light up and I'll have all the right switches. Any thoughts?

Just unscrew the wiper switch and put it in the other console gauge surround? Thats what I would do.
Weird that the thing would go out all at once. I would imagine there's a missing link that fixed it.... something you overlooked that you may have been fiddling with.
