question about Fidanza flywheel????

just bought a 8 lbs fidanza flywheel and it says that i should use my stock counterweight but on the instructions it states that i should use mazda part N351-11-521 AND RIGHT AFTER THAT IT STATES " PART USED ON RX7'S with automatic transmissions. is that even possible using an automatic transmission counterweight on a manual transmission rx? help is needed, anybody encountered this problem before?

yes, you need auto tranny counterweight. this has only been covered like 10000000000000000 times before.

Fidanza!
The counterweight you'll need to purchase depends on the series vehicle you have, or engine if you've done a swap.

Turbos weren't automatics in the states! Just get an automatic counterweight, and it's series specific IIRC. I ended up selling my flywheel set up before I installed it.

why did you sell your set up was it to troublesome or is there better out there, my main question is how do you bolt it on the counterweight is there threading in the counterweight to recieve the flywheel or what , I never took a manual tranny apart yet so I don't know does someone or company sell them

What year is your motor? 86-88?

I sold my flywheel, because I bought it from a friend while my motor was being built. He claimed it was a Turbo flywheel. WRONG. It was an N/A. It was a brand new one too, but the box didn't state which one it was for. So when the motor got back and I went to put on the flywheel and clutch, it was way too small. So, I sold it to someone on the forum, complete with counterweight and the big *** socket and adapter from 3/8" to 1/2". He got a deal, needless to say.

A) do a search

B) if you get a counterweight, it will be very obvious

C) the counterweight is tapped for 6 mounting bolts.
