probably round $100. It cost $250 for me to get the cat removed and replaced with a presilencer, and then 2 ebay mufflers welded on. I also got the catback replaced with new pipes since they were rusty ****. Botling on should cost less.

I had also thought about going to an exhaust shop to get the work done. I didn't have the right tools, was too weak, bolts were seized, etc. But after a while of working on it, we (me, aznpoopy, Torean, and Rrichutt) managed to get the exhaust off. Keep working at it. Nothing like the feeling of accomplishment to brighten your day.

If you're really serious about going to a shop, then tops $250 around here...

go rent an impact wrench + socket... its so worth it.

with an old exhaust system, the nut could be froze on the stud, then you'd just unscrew the nut+stud out of the main converter. a shop could handle a variety of problems that could arise.

to the original poster: the ypipe to the ebay mufflers are the only things that need to be welded, right? just go to a weld shop, or a muff shop.

the rb header to rb presilencer to ypipe all bolt up.

your using a NEW ypipe to weld on, right?
