Hey has anyone ever cut off the stock flange and welded on the one for your aftermarket bov??? Im may do this with the hks and was wondering if it fit because of its overly large flange..>Also should it be the steel or aluminum flange??? thanks
Ok Im not taking about the actual bov or the soft(rubber) line. I am talking about where the rubber line hooks to the T part of the metal pipe that is inline just before the I/C. I was wondering what it was made of(steel, aluminum) and if anyone has cut off the extra "nub" as I call it so they can weld a flange straight to that pipe.
Zenki FC turbo units are made out of cast aluminum.
It's not recommended to weld to it, but I've seen it done.
The Kouki FC turbo ones are plastic, and you ****-out-of-luck trying to "weld" to it.
I think you can use a Zenki FC turbo unit as a replacement.

I think HKS makes a metal pipe thats a straight replacment for the peice you talkin about. I have one and it fits like a charm. to bad the bov that was atached to it had a bad diaphram but any ways you could probably get one made or find one on the net.I would just spend the money and get one.
