Question about EGT
well i just bought a exhaust temp gauge that cost me about $150 for my NOS powered probe,,but,,i recently read that it will not work in the Turbo II,,because the range that a rotary operates in is 1700-2000. and my gauge only goes to 1600. now as anyone installed one to confirm this. or shoudl i just sell the gauge now and save the trouble of installing it.

it would be nice to have one that goes higher, As it's not too hard to hit 1600 if you're a tad lean. then the problem is knowing if you're at 1601 which is still *sorta* safe, or 1650 and about to blow.... I hit 1500 at WOT. 1600 is about where you would want to let off. personaly I'd get a higher one. which autometer doesn't make, which I'm sure is the one you are holding now. the greddy ones are sweet and go alot higher.
and those temps are in the downpipe right behind the turbo. if you get it in the manifold before the turbo your temps will be slighty higher.
