Question About Compression
Yes i have searched, and i found varying answers about compression numbers on a t2. Some said 80psi is good, while others said 90psi is pushing it. Can someone set me straight? Thanks a bunch!
Also if the engine has 80psi, under stock boost, how much longer would you ESTIMATE it to last?

is hard to tell man... stock compression in a good engine shoudl eb around 120 to 125.... i woudl say 95 and up is good for a while but their is so many things liek boost, coolant, starter going bad or thigns liek that

The correct answer is to use the FSM. There is a graph that shows you what your compression is, in relation to engine RPM. However, as a general rule of thumb for doing the home compression test, 80 PSI is bad. How long will it last? Good question. Might go next week, might last another year. I dont know, I gave up on my career as a fortune teller.

Too many variables, and all compression gauges are not calibrated equally...
Did you:
Remove BOTH leading spark plugs?
Measure compression through the trailing position?
Prop the throttle all the way open?
Ensure full battery voltage when cranking?
Failure to do any of the above will lower compression numbers.
Also, Mazda numbers are done with the engine warmed up. If you do the compression test while the engine is cold, the compression numbers will be HIGHER.
